Hello! I am Ezzie Polat, a Turkish-Kurdish actress born and raised in Istanbul, now based in London. I moved to Liverpool in 2021 to pursue an international acting career and complete my degree at LIPA. Growing up in Istanbul and moving to the UK for university, I’ve always been surrounded by an abundance of cultures and art. My passion for acting stems from my curiosity for people and what better way to understand the world than to (literally) put yourself in their shoes? So that’s what I’ve done! And yes, I do have character shoes that will fit any situation at any point in time. My specific passions and strengths include Shakespeare plays, period dramas, and building psychologically complex and engaging characters. In my free time, I like to sing Turkish folk songs, geek out over Doctor Who, hang out in the local coffee shop, and go on trips to visit my friends and family living all over the world!
